Sunday evening Blog & Vlog. Trying to show men can multitask #5

By far the latest ‘Sunday evening Vlog and Blog’ ever, simply because it’s Monday, I wasn’t able to render the video until tonight, so apologies, but now let’s begin. A very happy me. I set my three running goals at the beginning of the year and now I have completed all three with a ten mile run in 1 hour and 22 minutes, a full 23 minutes quicker than when I did the Great South Run in 2014.

Obviously I am over the moon with how my training is going and now the next two Sundays I will have rehearsals for the thirteen mile challenge I have set myself. This leaves me with a mixture of excitement and fear, I’m so happy to have reached this far but I’m also well aware of how this is draining me and nutrition is becoming a key factor and just having a small breakfast before a long run just won’t cut it any more.

Bearing in mind it was back to school week we haven’t had anything out of the ordinary from the boys, plenty of tiredness and temper tantrums. Mostly from C but that may be because O has been able to focus on his football and ground himself.

An update on the football, due to circumstances beyond our control we only had 4 available players this week and despite the lack of numbers they only narrowly lost and did themselves proud, pulling it level by half time but the tiredness took its toll towards the end. I couldn’t be prouder of them.
